Đà Lạt is one of those few places in Vietnam where you don’t have to worry about the traffic; you don’t have to worry the excessive heat; you don’t have to worry the noise.

And now, at this Đà Lạt cafe & homestay, you don’t have to worry about really anything else at all.

It’s a place to be completely and totally “Chill”, as Gấo, the owner and resident manager here, made absolutely clear upon our arrival.

Hippiedom … and the Berkeley 60’s counter-culture spirit lives-on! … nestled in the hills of Vietnam.

“It’s not even a place to take photos”

of the beautiful Đà Lạt hills that the gardened property overlooks, as Gấo explained.

“It’s just a place to relax and chill.”

As best we could tell, the homestay itself actually only consists of a single room – simple & stark, with a mattress on the floor, and access to a shared living room and bathroom.  Clean and basic – about what you would expect for $12/nite.

More importantly, the room is associated with the Bohie Zone Cafe.

Here, young folk come to enjoy an amazing fruit drink or cocktail, play pool, listen to mellow music play, enjoy the view of the Đà Lạt hills, snuggle with the resident dogs and cats, and, of course … mostly to “Chill.”

Gấo and Ri, our two welcoming hosts (and great cooks) invited us to join them for a delicious home-cooked vegetarian dinner.

MAJOR YUM!  THANK YOU, GUYS

So, whether you’re a teen in search of life’s answers (and/or a place to stay); or any age who’s young-at-heart; or simply looking for an LGBTQ-friendly place to relax for a few hours without any agenda (expect maybe a great cocktail), Bohie Zone Cafe and/or its associated homestay might just be for you.

The real question to ask yourself here is:
